7 Reasons Why We Need Use Social Media

If you think Twitter, Facebook, and other online social media communities are only for teens, you're missing out on valuable and free marketing platforms for your brand (book, business or product).

Further, if you're not on social bookmarking media, you're risking losing your potential clients/customers to those smart business people who are utilizing social media.

Which social media platforms you focus on depends a great deal on what your brand is. Here are seven excellent reasons why you must use social media no matter what you are promoting:

  • Reason 1: It's the Most Cost-Effective Online Advertising

  • The current most popular social media platforms being used for business are free: Twitter.com, Facebook.com and LinkedIn.com. (LinkedIn does have an upgrade that costs, but it's not necessary to get this upgrade.) And this is "relationship" marketing to targeted markets. "Free" is definitely more cost-effective than spending money on online advertising techniques such as Pay Per Click or banner ads.

  • Reason 2: You Can Have Global Reach With Social Media

  • The world is now a global marketplace. Why not reach this global market? Many of the most popular social media platforms have this global reach, and you can see this clearly illustrated on Twitter. At any time of day or night you can see real-time "tweets" from people in Japan, England, the U.S., India and many other countries.

For example, if you have a book that might appeal to anyone in the world who reads in English, why limit yourself to just promoting in the U.S.? Thanks to Amazon people outside the U.S. can buy your book even if it is only available in U.S. stores.

  • Reason 3: You Can Attract Targeted Groups of People as Potential Clients/Customers for Your Brand

  • Social media enables you to join groups of people with the same interests and goals. On LinkedIn and Facebook you can join groups as varied as Children's Book Writers to eMarketing. If you choose groups to join based on your brand, you'll be putting yourself in front of the exact groups of people you want to reach as potential clients/customers. This can pay off in increased sales for you.

  • Reason 4: You Can Form A Community by Using the Community Aspect of Social Media

  • Once you are active on social media platforms and have people who are your followers (Twitter), your friends (Facebook) and/or your connections (LinkedIn), you can start groups of highly targeted interests. You can create a niche market in your brand, book or business and share your knowledge with others who join your community.
Top Positions in the Web's Largest Article Directory
These people can become your loyal followers, friends and connections - and they can help spread your marketing message to their followers, friends and connections.

  • Reason 5: You Can Use Social Media to Establish Your Expertise

  • People like to do business with people they know, like and trust. By sharing your knowledge for free online with the people in the social media groups you belong to, you can establish yourself as an expert. This can pay off in increasing potential clients/customers' trust in you.

And you can also receive invitations for blog "interviews" or BlogTalkRadio show interviews or podcasts. And these interviews lead to more free exposure for your brand and more free exposure for your expertise.

  • Reason 6: You Can Use Social Media to Find Cross-Promotional Partners

  • Amazingly in the world of social media, people who would be considered competitors in the off-line world are teaming up to provide products and services to their combined clients/customers.
And these clients/customers are very responsive to these cross-promotions (often called joint ventures) - especially when introduced to a second expert by a first expert they already know, like and trust.
You and your cross-promotíon partner can each get access to the other person's "list" (the names of interested clients/customers collected at a website) and thus you've greatly expanded your potential client/customer pool.

  • Reason 7: With a Few Keystrokes You Can Announce New Updates of Your Activities

  • Your updates on Twitter, Facebook or LinkedIn take seconds - and you've announced to your followers, friends and connections what you're doing or what you're offering or what you're speaking on. And there are even online applications that allow you to update your status across several of your social media accounts simultaneously. So it is as easy as 1-2-3 to keep in front of your potential clients/customers.

In conclusion, once you become active yourself on social media platforms, you'll find many more reasons to promote your brand, book or business on social media in order to attract targeted potential clients/customers. And you'll look back at your pre-social media days and wonder how you ever did marketing without using online social media.

Do you use twitter to promote your blog? Yes, twitter is one of tools that can help us to promote our blog. Like as you know, Twitter is a free social networking and micro-blogging service that enables its users to send and read messages known as tweets. Tweets are text-based posts of up to 140 characters displayed on the author's profile page and delivered to the author's subscribers who are known as followers. Senders can restrict delivery to those in their circle of friends or, by default, allow open access.

We must send our post manually to twitter homepage with using twitter account or it more popular with name "Tweeting". Tweeting your new blog posts is a great way to engage your readers, and something that many on the team have taken advantage of for our own blogs. Sometime we have forget to tweet our post. For that reason some people are using ReTweet Button in their post, perhaps someone who are interesting to our post can retweet with easy ways. Now, there are another ways which automatically updates Twitter with each new blog post. This service offered by twitterfeed.com.

You must sign up first to have your's automatically twitter feed. Go to TwitterFeed.com homepage and then make your own account. You can sign in with yours Open ID. Now you can make your new feed here.
Create New Feed Buttonclick the button to start make your own feed. And then you will ask to insert your feed data and connect to your twitter account.
Connect your feed to your twitter accounttwitterfeed And then click create feed button.

Like i said before that this tool can tweet our post with automatically and help us to get more traffic. Look up for this data.

Traffic, it is one thing that all webmasters are dreaming. Get a lot of traffic is a hope for all of webmasters, bloggers or everybody who have a site. Everybody know that big traffic is synonyms with big earn money. A site who have a bog traffic will be have a high price and opportunity in advertise program, google adsense, paid to review, or something else.
Did Your Site Have A Big Traffic?... How to know our traffic come from?.....And what thing we can get from traffic source data?

Use Google Analytics to optimize your traffic source for your site. This is a great tool to get it for your blog.
Google Analytics Traffic SourceLook up for traffic source data above. Yes, we can get a lot of more useful data from that.
  1. Which one of you have done that give a more traffic.
  2. To know that your advertising program that you have joined was give a traffic or not.
  3. To see who has linked to your site.
  • Which one of you have done that give you a more traffic.

  • To get more traffic is several ways that can do. SEO, Blogwalking, leave your comments in another blog, shoot in ShoutMix or C-box, add your blog into RSS and Blog Directories, use microblogging (twitter), or another else.
But with traffic source data from google analytics, you can see which one is the most useful to get it. I have look my data, and the result is that the most useful to get traffic to my site is blogwalking and leave my url in shoutmix.
Google Analytics Traffic SourceMaybe it is different result with your own, but we can more concentrate to one thing. If your traffic was come in twitter, you can more give your attention to twitter.

  • To know that your advertising program that you have joined was give a traffic or not.

  • Another ways to get a traffic is join an advertising or adsense program for your site, like a google adwords, bidvertiser, ask2link, etc. But one question is how if your advertising program doesn't give traffic? Do you still want to continue? I think the answer is "NO". So, look up for this and save your money.

  • To see who has linked to your site.

  • With Google Analytics, we can see a sites who has linked to us. There are several sites who has link to my blog. You can see how many traffic was come from that sites.
    Sites Who Was Linked

    So, don't miss it.

Everyone who was used internet must be known "SEARCH ENGINE". What's Search Engine? search engine is one tool to search documents for specified keywords and returns a list of the documents where the keywords were found. Typically, a search engine works by sending out a spider to fetch as many documents as possible. Another program, called an indexer, then reads these documents and creates an index based on the words contained in each document. One of the most popular search engine is "GOOGLE SEARCH ENGINE".

Search engines is one way the campaign or promoted our web / blog. How to indexed by search engine (in this case GOOGLE SEARCH)?. One of the answer is GOOGLE WEBMASTER TOOLS. What it is?
Google Webmaster Tools is a no-charge web service by Google for webmasters. It allows webmasters to check indexing status and optimize visibility of their websites.
